WORLD WIDE WEB SERVICE
Web Service Conversation Language

Web Service Definition Language
<architecture> (WSDL) An XML format for describing network services as a set of endpoints operating on messages containing either "document oriented" or "procedure oriented" information. The operations and messages are described abstractly, and then bound to a concrete network protocol and message format to define an endpoint. Related concrete endpoints are combined into abstract endpoints (services). WSDL is typically used with SOAP over HTTP but it is extensible to allow description of endpoints and their messages independent of what message formats or network protocols. Web Services
  • Web services in a [[service-oriented architecture]].
  • Web services architecture: the service provider sends a WSDL file to UDDI. The service requester contacts UDDI to find out who is the provider for the data it needs, and then it contacts the service provider using the SOAP protocol. The service provider validates the service request and sends structured data in an XML file, using the SOAP protocol. This XML file would be validated again by the service requester using an XSD file.
